khanom is famous for its pink dolphins which can be seen from dtalet to khanom beach when the sea is very quiet. they are now threatened by jet skis which unfortunately some tourists rent - they care as little for the environment as the operators which rent them out. if this continues the dolphins will disappear as well as the peaceful beach atmosphere.
